The angelic meaning of the number 11

God only knows the number of times I have to have a dream before I realise it’s a recurring one, sometimes it takes years!  By the same token, it can take me a while to notice constant recurrance of anything in my surroundings but when I notice, it’s like a switch going on in my head. 

My most recent observation is the bombardment of the number 11 in my life.  It might sound odd but lately whenever I check the time on my mobile phone, microwave, car, computer or any didgtal output it’s 11.11 or 1.11 or something.  It reached a head recently where I checked the time on my mobile, which was of course 11.11, and a lightbulb went on in my head “why is it always 11.11, maybe it means something”.  I emailed my friend Marion immediately to tell her and ask what it meant.  “11 is an angelic number” she says, “the angels are trying to talk to you.”  Once upon a time that would have freaked me out, now it put the biggest grin on my face!


 I first became aware of asking for angelic guidance and healing with angels last year and I invested in Angela McGerr’s gold and silver angel cards.  I’ve tended to use them very sporadically whenever I have felt a little lost, for guidance.  The guidance they give is awesome and has helped me gain clarity and direction every time.  The irregularity with which I used them says more about my limiting beliefs than anything else, almost as if I didn’t want to overuse them as I have to find my own way or wear them out.

Following recent energy shifts I’ve started using the cards a few times a week and meditating with angelic energy which has all added to my being in the best flow ever.  I no longer believe in coincidence or luck so, when I became aware of this number 11 I knew it was for a reason I was seeing them and went off to research. 

There’s a lot on the internet about the meaning of 11, but I do find some of it is taken too far and is a little woo woo!  Doreen Virtue’s Healing with Angels has more information on numbers and their meanings. But for the meantime chew on this…

Numbers and their meanings

111 or 1111  A great sign of a golden opportunity. Both sequences mean that a “doorway” has opened up in which your intentions and goals will manifest extremely quickly.

In addition, you may notice that 1’s show up next to other numbers. The other numbers mean something, too:

411 or 114  The Angels seek to help you to manifest your heart’s desire, they want you to ask them to get involved with manifesting, especially when the manifesting involves your life’s purpose or giving service to the world.

117 or 711 Means that you will experience great fortune or synchronicity that will lead you to manifest your heart’s desire.

911 or 119 9 next to the 1’s means that your goal is almost completed and/or that you are coming to the end of one phase of your life (one door is closing and another is opening).

311 or 113 3 next to the 1’s asks you to surrender your goals and desires to Spirit, and ask for guidance about what to manifest.

And there’s more…..

222 or 2222 In the middle of the process of resurrection or the process of ascension

333 or 3333 A decision number. Either one of the folowing can happen: 666 = material world or 999 = spiritual world.

444 or 4444 The Resurrection number.

555 or 5555 Christ consciousness

666 or 6666 Material world, chosen reality.

777 Symbolizes an integration of some portion of the four lower bodies with higher spiritual frequencies within the third-dimensional plane, or at level in which you are manifesting your physical reality on the Earth plan

888 Symbolizes infinity * The unified spiral of the physical merging with the Spiritual * Moving toward the completion of the ascension process through the energies of the 222 and 444

999 Symbolizes the three levels of the triune * completion

000 Great Void * Experiencing a null zone * switching or moving into a new energy field

11:11 Beginning of a whole new level or phase of development * Another dimension or frequency of experience * A PORTAL WAY OPENING *

12:12 A COSMIC CONNECTION * A bridge to the future * Signifies a level of completion or graduation Pay attention to clocks, license plates, perhaps what you were doing at the time you saw that particular number…….what were you thinking, etc.I have found these to be very much a signal or sign after I have asled a question etc.

    I had a recent experience with seeing 777 all over the place. Once it was 3 licence plates IN A ROW. I was so awestruck, I stopped talking to my husband. Later that weekend a really big positive event happened. Now I keep seeing 447 744 as well 411 and 114. I am hoping for somewhat of a miracle to come about and wonder if this is a message to me

    I met someone the other day who keeps seeing 4s and 7s too, after a while we realised it added up to 11!

    I truly feel this is a form of angelic communication so allow yourself to be guided and ask for help or state an affirmation whenever the numbers appear.

    I’m loving it now, I am bombarded but it puts a smile on my face especially when the clock seems to be waiting for me to see 11.11 and within a couple of seconds of me seeing it, it moves on.

    Go with it, be true to yourself and allow yourself to be guided.

I have been seeing double and triple numbers a lot over the past 2 years. I have definitely been going through changes, most of them great ones, like starting and building my blog and all the new friends that I am meeting.

    I was scared out of my mind cuz i kept seeing 11 all over,now i’m little bit in easy ,being non believer in mistical thing,this one got to me! My car belonged to a woman who died in 9 11 attack in NYC.PPl told me to get rid of it,but i refuse…i relied on this car for 2 years ,never failed me…now i believe she watches over me…Thank you for helping me to sort it out…i feel so much better now..God bless!!!

    Oh, thank you so much for posting this! I have been seeing 911 a lot lately and last night I saw 11:11 on my alarm clock. This post really helps me to understand what’s going on around me, in terms of my own reality and my manifestations.

    I was wondering if you knew if the faeries communicate thru numbers, or is it just angels?

    Also, what is the significance of the number 13? This number has been with me for as long as I can remember. I emailed Doreen Virtue, and I was told that 13 was the number of Goddess wisdom, as well as a message from the Ascended Masters to ask them for help and guidance. Any other information you can provide would be fabulous.

    Amryn - I’m afraid I do not know anything about fairies so cannot help you there. Doreen Virtue springs to mind as I know she writes about fairies. I’m also not familiar with the significance of the number 13 but if Doreen says Godess wisdom and ascended Masters, I would meditate and invoke the Ascended Master as you would an angel and ask for guidance and understanding of what is being communicated to you and that you recognise and understand the answer. Re, goddess wisdom maybe you could invoke Pistis Sophia and ask for her guidance and grounding.

    Calima - bear in mind the Amryn’s words re goddess wisdom and ascended Masters and ask for the relevant guidance also. I find there are general meanings, however the for the most part the message is personal and although you may not know now, the answers are inside you. Maybe you should get quiet and meditate as advised above see what comes to you. You are 100% capable of finding your own answers as you are the expert when it comes to you.

    You know, it’s weird because about 6 months ago I was recalling all of the strange happenings that have happened in the past four years and prior to that about 10 years ago. I researched these odd coincidences that had happened and found out it was called synchronicity. After researching I thought to myself that I kinda missed the synchronous events and then 3 months later, give or take, I started seeing these numbers and have been for about 3 months now. 111,222,444,555… It didn’t hit me right away but when it did I started to get curious. I have talked about it with friends. It happens about 3 times a day every day. Funny thing is I would talk about it on the phone and then when my conversation was over and I needed to get back to work, I would look at the time. And guess what? It was one of those numbers. I have to say that it is getting sort of annoying because when I stop thinking about it, it happens again. I chuckle to myself every time. I would say that if these are signs or works from angels, I would prefer to have the coincidences as they don’t make me feel like I am going crazy. Not to mention, synchronicity makes for better stories. But, I guess if it’s here to make me aware, it has my full attention.

    I keep seeing 1111, 222,333,444,555,707,808,and 999. I discovered that it is a language that is learned by angels . they use it to communicate with us here on earth , I got a profetcy from an individual that God said to me the numbers 777. I researched what this mean and it makes sence when you see these numbere they are definate messages from the spiritual world . The key is to think positively. however when I see 444. I have to drop every thing IM doing and pray untill piece falls on me . I have discovered that 444 means devine intervention and If I ignore it. trouble will come for me or my children. I have learned not to ignore it . every body that is close to me knows that, they have to for reasons that I may have to stop what Im doing and pray no matter where Im at. I know that God is in this and has given me a gift of communication. Also when I go into prayer after knoticing these numbers the answer comes in minets through an unexpected telephone call or a visit from some one close to me who is maby in trouble . I feel that this is one of the reasons for the number i see. that person that I care fore needed devine intervention through prayer. I also feel toughes on my feet . I Have also learned to get up quikly and pray and have since then that the answer comes again in moments of that prayer and it takes no more than a 1/2 an hour at tops. Prayer is the answer along with positive though patters, faith and belief that these numbers are sign of communication from the Heavons and it is your opportunnity to receive blessings from beyon if you do these things and receive that awareness. you are differant from the others in Gods eyes this is why you can see tripple numbers he cares for you so much that he has given you another gift to be contacted by him in such a special way.

    I’m glad you are using this form of angel communication as guidance and I love the fact that when you go into prayer you get the answers soon after seeing 444. However, I feel the need to addressthe fact you feel trouble will come for you or yout family if you do not “pray” immediately after seeing the numbers.

    I say “pray” because there are many ways to pray and all thoughts, words and actions are prayer at the end of the day, not only when we sit down with our palms together. Also, a lot of good growth can come from “trouble” so trust that you are communicating and that God does not operate on a fear-based level but from LOVE.

    If you’re seeing 11 all the time, you are being called to awaken, maybe your Nan’s passing is key to your awakening. Have you found yourself questioning things since she passed?

    wow! i cant believe i found this post because I too have the 11 after the hour ALL THE TIME!!! I have just recently concluded what you just confirmed here….it is my spirit guides talking to me,,,sending messages.

    I see it at least 6-8 times a day, when i check the time,,,and i don’t wear a watch! so random, yet in no way a coincidence.

    well I see 444 ALOT. and I also see the 314 can you tell me why I would wake to it almost nightly when I sleep with routien? It was just today I found I was not alone with seeing the 444. Most people think I’m cazy with it. I want someone to show me in the bible what it means. thats where I get my info.

    My marriage was really starting to get bad when i first started seeing 11. It has been happening for at least 2 years now and for the last 3 months my husband and i have been apart. My daughter and i are really struggling and my husband has moved on and is happy with another woman and her child and has nothing to do with me or his little girl. Its just one bad thing after the next. I always read that this 11 thing is suppose to be a good thing or angels watching over me but it feels like its the opposite of that. I am so depressed and every thing is just getting worse. I wish some one could help. 11 is driving me nuts and just will not go away. Any one please respond.
